Only 1 piece in stock!

Handmade fused glass link bracelet with cabochons in the colours of a fiery sunset.

11 links with a total lengths of 16.5 cm. If too long, links can easily be removed.

In addition to a limited number of bracelets, the Sunset Collection includes pendants, stud and drop earrings as well as statement rings.

Defined by a mix of radiant orange, red, white and clear/transparent glass, the pieces set a colourful accent. Its irregular, intricate pattern is the result of an elaborate procedure involving many fusing cycles. The original slab was cut in small stripes, flipped by 90 degrees, realigned and refused. This process was repeated multiple times until the desired effect was achieved.

What should I know about handcrafted kiln-fired glass?
Kiln-fired glass is beautiful and surprisingly sturdy, and colour its most striking feature. Transparent and translucent glass transmits light, whereas translucent and opaque glass reflects light. Often, I combine glass of different types and colours, creating unique pieces that change their look depending on the surrounding light conditions.

When photographing my products, I take special care to represent colours as accurately as possible. However, due to variations in computer and device screens, colours may appear slightly different than in person.

Are your pieces really one-of-a-kind?
Yes, all of my collections are small-scale / limited editions of one-of-a-kind pieces. The fact that each piece is unique (unique, like you!) is really important to me. Due to the handmade nature, the materials I use and the multi-step process, no two pieces will be exactly the same.

If you see a piece you love but would prefer in a different colour, pattern or shape, please do not hesitate and contact me. If the glass is still available, I'll be more than happy to make one to your liking.

How do I care for kiln-fired glass?
The color of your glass will never fade. Here are a few tips on how to keep it looking shiny and new, :

Jewellery: Remove jewellery before bathing or taking a shower, and store it in a dry place. Wipe the glass parts with a clean soft cloth. Findings can be polished with a special cleaning cloth.

Homeware: You probably use glass drink ware every day. Think of kiln-fired glass dishes in the same way. All plates, bowls, cocktail stirrers etc. are food safe, and we certainly hope you will use them often. Wash the glass with warm/hot soapy water and a soft cloth, then dry with a normal dish towel. This said, glass can break, so please handle with care at all times, especially when handling on hard surfaces.

What other materials are used in your jewellery pieces?
Stud earring posts, hooks or hoops are either  sterling silver or hypo-allergenic surgical grade stainless steel. Please see item description for details. I also offer clip-on backs that can be added to my stud earrings.
Pendant bails are sterling silver coated and has a clear hypo-allergenic finish which protects the silver plating from wear and oxidation, it will not tarnish if properly cared for.
Ring and bracelets bases are silver coated, lead and nickel free.  Rings are usually adjustable (unless otherwise noted) and fit approx. sizes  5.5 – 9. Link bracelets can be shortened by removing one or more links, which you can do yourself (contact me for instructions).
